Say your Nan gave you a bike & lock when you were 10, you kept the lock your whole life, someone could find it, and not know it meant anything. I believe Objects hold feelings, these locks have been engraved by people and they transmitted their energy & love into them and it transmits back. At the same time, I understand I'm stealing a symbol of someone's love, but to me, that is the essence of punk.
