Elvis Is In The Building
I was asked to make work for a show called Speaking in Tongues, where artists were asked to make performance works in response to The National Gallery collection.

This piece was an act to subvert institutions by raising questions about high and low art and exclusivity and access.
The show featured a range of Elvis impersonators, The original Black Elvis, The Elvis of Essex, a drag queen Elvis, drag king and trans Elvis each a representation of their individual uniqueness, and at the same time a representation of the idea that we are all one.
