Silkscreen print (1/25)

Size : 46.8 x 66.2 in

Material : Screenprint on paper using ink and Eucharist (wine and wapher - body and blood of Christ)

Roland Barthes' Camera Lucida talks of finding the essence of his mother in a photograph. Inspired, I collected eucharist from the catholic church. On Nov 5th I protested their crimes against humanity at The National Portrait Gallery by spitting the Eucharistic in a live Performance piece to create the most accurate portrait of Jesus in history. This image is a silkscreen print mixed with eucharist of that image.

Each vessel contains eucharist wine and wafer/ body and blood of christ. Each vessel represents 24 hours of fasting, no food or water. Total number of bottles are 40 equalling 960 hours.

On Nov 5th 2018, I protested the Catholic church and their crimes against humanity at the National Portrait Gallery by spitting eucharist and ink onto a canvas to create an accurate portrait of Jesus Christ.
